My name is Jessica Morgan and I’m a passionate artist with a degree in Integrated Studio Arts, I developed a strong foundation in both traditional and contemporary techniques, allowing for a versatile and innovative approach to my work. I mainly enjoy working in a mixed media for this reason. Because I was trained as a traditional artist I can work in any medium. This includes traditional mediums like paints, pencils, and pastels. I can also use my traditional skills to work with digital mediums like photoshop and procreate.
I have worked as a freelance colorist, I collaborated with background artist in California, bringing life to visual projects through expert color application and a keen eye for detail. This experience has not only sharpened my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation and understanding of the collaborative nature of the arts.
In addition to their work I did in California I have been dedicated to enriching my local community through art. I have created several pieces that reflect the spirit and stories I have experience as I have lived here in Indiana, and how our shared experiences are what connects us in this human experience. Through my metaphoric style I’m able to create a visual story that invokes deep emotion. My commitment to community engagement is further exemplified by my role on the art committee in Carmel, where I work alongside fellow artists to promote and support local artistic initiatives.
With a diverse portfolio and a passion for both creating and collaborating, I want to continue to explore new avenues for artistic expression while actively contributing to my community. As well as challenge the perspective of the community of what art is and push the boundaries of what artistic collaboration looks like.
